President Bola Ahmed Tinubu being welcomed on his arrival from Saudi Arabia by party chieftains and top functionaries of government, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, NAIA, Abuja, Tuesday night

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a one-day travel to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for the just concluded extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit.

Tinubu arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, around 8 pm on Tuesday.

Top government functionaries at the airport to receive the President were the Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, barrister Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Chief Olawale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.

Others included the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other heads of the security agencies.

The summit was hosted by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. Discussions focused on current issues in the Middle East.

While at the summit, Tinubu commented on the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict and reiterated Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution.
