The Max Air Aircraft was involved in an emergency landing at the Abuja Airport runway. The runway restores to service
The Max Air aircraft that had an emergency landing yesterday, Sunday, 7th May 2023, on the Abuja airport runway, had been successfully towed away thus leaving the runway, and safe for flight operations.
According to the tweet by the Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, from his verified Twitter handle, Hadi Abubakar Sirika; @hadisirika, he writes that “I am happy to announce that the aircraft has been towed clear & we will open within an hour”.
Hence, the Minister through the tweet expressed gratitude to all those concerned for performing their various tasks gallantly, which ultimately enabled the runway to be promptly cleared of all encumbrances.
Sen. Hadi Sirika tweeted further of his gratitude thus, “Thanks for your patience & understanding’.
He also reached out to the aerodrome firefighting operatives thus, “Well done our firefighting team who quenched the fire & operations staff who towed the aircraft away”
In consonance to the earlier promise by the Minister, the runway was successfully cleared for normal flight operations after the fire was successfully quenched and the machine towed clear from the runway.
Passengers and various operators gearing up for the Monday morning busy schedule shall operate without hindrance.
Most important is also the preliminary activities of the President-Elect inauguration committee which is starting promptly this week and will demand more aircraft and vehicular movement.
