Manchester United and Portugal playmaker, Cristiano Ronaldo officially became the World’s highest goal scorer of all-time in the history of men’s professional soccer.
Ronaldo achieved this feat over the weekend after he scored a sensational hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
With 807 goals garnered from 1, 110 games, Ronaldo breaks the long time record set by Austria – Czech icon, Josef Bican, which stood at 805. He played for Slavia Prague.
Till date, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 59 career hat-tricks, two of them in the colour of Manchester United.
The breakdown of Portugal International goals revealed that he scored 136 goals for Manchester United, 450 goals for Real Madrid, 101 goals for Juventus, 115 goals for Portugal and 5 goals for Sporting Lisbon.
The world football governing authority, FIFA, from its official record recognizes the 10 great footballers with the record of the World’s highest goal scorer in Football history.
The 10 maestros in goal poaching are;
Cristiano Ronaldo; Portugal and Manchester United. Chalked up 807 goals in 1,110 games, from 2001 till date.
Josef Bican -: Austria – Czech. Chalked up 805 goals in 530 games, from 1931 – 1956.
Romario Faria -: Brazil. Chalked up 772 goals, from 1985 2007.
Lionel Messi – Argentina. Chalked up 759 goals, from 2003 – date.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento a.ka. Pele – Brazil. Chalked up 757 goals, from 1957 – 1977.
Ferec Puskas- Hungary. Chalked up 746 goals in 754 games, from 1943 – 1966.
Gerd Muller – Germany. Chalked up 734 goals in 793 games, from 1962- 1981.
Ferec Deak. Chalked up 576 goals from 1940 – 1957.
Uwe Seeler – Germany. Chalked up 575 goals in 793 games, from 1953 – 1978.
Tulio Maravilha – Brazil. Chalked up 575 goals from, 1988 – 2019.
