The number one citizen of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, was present at the launch of the classic addition to the growth and development of hospitality in Lagos State.
The Governor in his Instagram reported to Lagosians, “I attended the grand opening of the Delborough Hotel in Lagos and witnessed its magnificent addition to our hospitality landscape”.
He expressed the optimism that very, very soon, other investors would approach Lagos state with an improvement to the latest world-class facility, the first in Africa being commissioned in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu who just returned from a trip to London to sell the enormous business potential in the state of aquatic splendor to the international business community, also embedded his marketing stint in his reports as filed on social media.
He welcomed personalities like General Olusegun Obasanjo, Rtd, Mr. Pius Ayim Pius, a former Speaker in the House of Representatives, and an Emir, among many distinguished guests at the August occasion.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu enthused, “This opening showcases the vast opportunity to establish high-value hospitality projects to cater to our local and increasing tourist population”, how else can the Chief promoter of investments in Lagos be aglow, and very urgent in his task of turning the tech-savvy state to commerce and technology agglomeration center for Nigeria.
The peoples’ Governor also on his X handle, former Twitter, in his characteristic sales sting affirmed that “the Delborough Hotel’s unveiling signifies more than a luxurious retreat—it’s a testament to our dedication to economic growth and emphasizes Lagos’ role in encouraging partnerships and stimulating investment”.
Former President, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, prayed for the investor owner of the luxurious hotel, Stanley Ugochukwu, that he will continue to grow from great height to greater and bring greater hospitality investment to other parts of Nigeria.
Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, commended the owner of Delborough Hotel for his clean business dealings. He said if Stanley Ugochukwu had not smeared himself with nefarious business dealing, such arrays of personalities present wouldn’t have honoured his invitation.
Ebele Jonathan urged the hotel owner to continue in the same chaste business routine which is an epitome of character.
Stanley Ugochukwu, investor and owner of the luxury hotel said his goal for the humongous investment in hospitality in Nigeria is that he was desirous of exporting tourism and hospitality from Lagos Nigeria.
Apt. Concise. We wish the Chief host, Governor Sanwo-Olu, success in his onerous task of facilitating continuous growth and development of Lagos as the leading economy on the West coast of Africa.
