Domestic flights have been announced to resume next week Wednesday, 8th of July 2020. The initial flight resumption is for flights between Lagos Airports and Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.
The announcement was released by the Minister of Aviation, Capt. Hadi Sirika, through his twitter handle, @hadisirika.
The Minister said, Kano, PortHarcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri airports said would resume flight operations on Saturday, 11th July, 2020
The terse statement said all other airports in the country would resume operations on Wednesday, 15th July, 2020.
Announcement for international flights the statement said would be announced “in due course”.
Hadi Sirika appealed to Nigerians especially air travelers to “bear with us” as every other flight operations would return to normalcy in no distant time again.
It will be recalled that the federal government announced the closure of all air and land borders in March 23rd as a measure to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic in the country.
