All extortionists in their myriads of shapes and forms that often constitute impediments to the economic activities of truckers and freight forwarders have been sternly warned to immediately stop their heinous deeds as the state government is now all out to unleash the wrath of the law on anyone or group of persons apprehended.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, made the declaration when the task force of the Ministry of Transportation paraded four suspected hoodlums arrested while carrying out their illegal activities in the Amuwo-Odofin area of the State.

The four among the numerous street urchins who forcefully extort money from drivers and at times inflict bodily injuries on them and their motor boys, are named; Tunji Oyedeji, Allison Ozin, Taiwo Olubodun, and Awotunde Ahmed.

Four of the street urchins who forcefully fleeced truckers of their money were arrested and paraded at Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos

The four persons were accosted and arrested while carrying out their nefarious activities in the Amuwo-Odofin area of the State.

Oladeinde said the Ministry will intensify its sting operations across the State with a view to taming, and ultimately eliminating the street and area urchins whose actions hindered honest economic activities and the wellbeing of others.
