Mr. Sam Adurogboye chalked up 23 years of unblemished service as a distinguished public servant
The Managing Director of Air Peace, Barrister Allen Onyema, has accepted to team up with the Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to celebrate Sam Adurogboye during the unveiling of his new book titled, “Handbook on Public Relations Practice and Aviation Reporting.’’
According to the media statement from the publishers of the book, Saptco Communication Ltd., and signed by its Executive Director, Mrs. Adeola Adurogboye, the book will be presented in Lagos on 14th October 2023, when Mr. Adurogboye turns 60 years of age and retires as the Public Relations Manager of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), where he worked from its inception in the year 2000. The event will be chaired by Pharmacist Kunle Ekundayo, the Managing Director of Drugfield Pharmaceutical Limited.
Barrister Onyema, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the founder of Air Peace, the fastest growing Nigeria Airline. He is also noted for his support of intellectual causes.
The Air Peace boss has accepted to be the Chief Launcher of the book.
Captain Nuhu, the DGCA, is also expected to honour Adurogboye with his presence along with other management and staff of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
A former Director General of NCAA, Dr. Harold Demuren, is also expected at the occasion.
Several key stakeholders from the Aviation industry agencies, airlines, academia, allied aviation services providers, the Christian community where the author is deeply rooted, family members, and friends are expected to grace the occasion and launch the book.
The 16-chapter ‘Handbook on Public Relations Practice and Aviation Reporting’ is a product of years of research and the professional experience of Mr. Samuel Adurogboye, who is a seasoned and award-winning media manager. Also a renowned public relations practitioner.
The statement said that, In putting the book together, Mr. Adurogboye seeks to enhance the professional proficiency of media and public relations practitioners, aviation lawyers, and students, among others.
The handbook, a literary master piece is presented in elegant prose and rich in perspectives. It tackles topics such as: What is not Public Relations; Public Relations and Marketing of Bad Products; PR as a Management function; My Experience; Media Relations; Bilateral Air Service Agreements (BASA); Aviation Reporting; Role of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, NCAT; My Field Experiences, to mention but a few.
The book is published by SAPTCO Communication Limited, a Public Relations firm, and is in paperback and hardcover to take care of all classes of readers and buyers.¹
The Royal Father of the day is the Towulade of Akinale Kingdom, Oba Femi Ogunleye, also a renowned journalist with the old Daily Times, and was a public relations practitioner at the now defunct Nigeria Airways.
