114 Imported Covid-19 New Cases In Two days: China Reduces International Airlines Frequencies To Once A Week

All airlines operating international flights from China, and those flying from elsewhere in the world to China have gotten their individual frequencies drastically reduced to once a week.

The government of the Peoples Republic of China made the announcement through a circular issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, CAAC, which states among other things that, “Each Chinese airline is only allowed to maintain one route to any specific country with no more than one flight per week.”

On the other numerous international airlines who have found the lucrative China route irresistible even in the face of Covid-19, the China Civil Aviation Administration, CAAC, further directed that “each foreign airline is only allowed to maintain one route to China with no more than one weekly flight.” One frequency a week and one point of entry.

It will be recalled that the ruling party in China, nay the government have been especially worried this week, due to the spike in imported COVID-19 cases in China.

Hence the Federal Executive Council met and considered few other policy options to implement and see what the outcome of the new controls would be in preventing a resurgence of the Coronavirus infection.

According to China’s National Health Commission, in the light of government’s spirited efforts at curing those earlier infected and curbing new infections yet, new imported cases steadily kept rearing their ugly heads.

The National Health Commission earlier this week, Wednesday, announced that China had no new locally transmitted cases of coronavirus on its mainland for the sixth time in eight days, but ironically, 114 new imported cases were recorded over the past two days, the National Health Commission said.
