Passengers Facilitation at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos

Passengers, and airlines making use of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos, have been passionately urged, to bear with the terminal manager, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, for the slow pace of passenger facilitation.

The spokesperson for FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, in a signed media statement pleaded for understanding by all airport users for the slow pace in facilitation which was caused by the ongoing upgrade of the facility at the terminal.

Reiterating the management’s resolve to end the situation soonest, she further appealed thus, “please bear with the Authority as some facilities at the airport are functioning below capacity due to system upgrade challenges”

The media statement further made a solemn pledge thus, “we are also working assiduously to ensure that the aged equipment/facilities at the old terminal are maintained in optimal working Conditions”, to the delight of all classes of customers to the airport.

She pledged that FAAN would not leave any stone unturned at ensuring the brand new international terminal purposely built to relieve the older terminal is commissioned as soon as practicable.

The terminal managers obviously took cognizance of the stress the slow pace of facilitation presently unleashed on passengers and other airport users and reassured thus, “we are also doing everything possible to commission the brand new international terminal in Lagos as soon as possible to reduce the stress on our customers”.

Henrietta Yakubu added that “FAAN is also working assiduously to ensure the aged equipment/facilities at the old terminal are maintained in optimal working Conditions”
