FAAN pleads for understanding as it begins installation of check-in, screening equipment

Installation of equipment to make facilitation digital begins at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has begun the installation of digital equipment to enhance passengers’ facilitation and make the airports’ operations run properly under digitally coordinated management systems.

To this end, the additional 15 security screening machines procured are being installed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airports Abuja, General Aviation Terminal, GAT, and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

FAAN management in a media statement signed by Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, appealed to stakeholders, airlines, and passengers to bear with it as the facilitation challenge experienced at Lagos airports and Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport were being rectified.

The statement said, “the Authority is using this opportunity to appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with us while the installation would last, as all hands are on deck to ensure speedy completion of the project”.
