FG Elevates Engr. Tayib Odunowo, to MD of NAMA

Engr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo, Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA

The Federal government has announced the appointment of Engr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo, the Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA.

Engr. Odunowo thus replaced the erstwhile Acting Managing Director, Mr. Mathew Lawrence Pwajok, who had been acting since March 2022, when he was recalled from retirement after the completion of Capt. Fola Akinkuotu’s tenure.

Odunowo obtained a Diploma in Airframe and Power Plant Technology, at the National College of Aviation Technology, NCAT, Zaria, Kaduna State, in 1987.

In 1998, he successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Columbia.

He also acquired Airframe and Power Plant License (A/P), Private Pilot License (P/L), and Flight Engineer’s License (FEL), from the Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, of the United States of America, USA.

Engr. Toyib Odunowo, a distinguished sportsman earned a scholarship through his enormous skills in basketball for a postgraduate course at Howard University and the University of District of Columbia.

Odunowo’s career path spans diverse engineering spheres as he was once an Executive Director (International Operations) with JIL Engineering & Oil Services Limited, Lagos, from 2010 to 2017.

He also worked as Senior Consultant at the National Aeronautic Space Agency, Greenbelt, Maryland, U.S.A, from 2006 to 2008. And from 1996 to 1997, he worked as Flight Engineer (Boeing 727) with FED-EX, Washington DC, U.S.A.

Engr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo has assumed office at the headquarters of NAMA, in Abuja.
