The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has been commended for its professionalism and forthrightness in conflict resolution, while the management of United Nigeria Airlines, UNA, has also been applauded for its magnanimity.
The Flight Dispatchers Association of Nigeria, FLIDAN, gave the commendation in a media statement to appreciate the outcome of an investigation into the Abuja-bound flight that landed at Asaba airport.
In the statement from FLIDAN, signed by Victoria Adegbe, Secretary General, she expressed appreciation to the management of NCAA for upholding the safety standards of the industry as regards the UNA flight incidence of 26th November 2023.
The statement said FLIDAN was “pleased that Operational control was restored to the Lessee’s OCC and appropriate flight briefing from point of departure ingrained”.
FLIDAN further enthused thus, “NCAA also demonstrated high professionalism when it cited that the approved filed ATC flight plan ought to be adhered to”.
The magnanimity of UNA’s management FLIDA duly acknowledged thus, “we deeply appreciate the United Nigeria Management for reinstating the flight dispatcher who was suspended during the cause of the investigation”.
FLIDAN wishes UNA and the entire airline operators, “safer skies, more payload, and a happy new year”.
