The event which is expected to kick off by 3 pm at the Sir Kensington Adebutu Hall, situated within the premises of the clubhouse, will be presided over by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the chairman of the occasion.
Suffice to know that the Chairman of the event is also the Grand Patron of the club hence, he will also wear an additional feather to his cap as the Special Guest of Honour.
Another distinguished guest expected to give the indigenous and the traditional royal flavor to the August occasion is the Life Patron of the club, His Royal Majesty, HRM, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo 111, the Alake & Paramount Ruler of Egba-Land.
Father of the day is the octogenarian, and renowned philanthropist, Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu, CON, KJF, RSM, Odole Oodua.
Mother of the day is the renowned socialite and also a philanthropist of over half a century and still counting, Chief (Mrs) Adebisi Edionseri, an octogenarian, a.k.a Cash Madam, and the Iya Sunna of Ogun State whose fame was blown out of the rooftop by two major musicians but of different genre- Pa Yussuf Olatunji, the Sakara maestro, and Chief Ebenezer Fabiyi Obey, the ace Juju musician and Miliki crooner.
For those desirous of sponsorship or donation of any kind towards the success of the event, they could promptly reach out to the Chief Scribe of Abeokuta Sports Club, Mr. Yinusa Jamiu Ajani, Gen Sec., and the academician but an excellent connoisseur of good time/fun and hospitality, Prof Akinola Akinlabi, the Social & Publicity Secretary of the club.

119 years old Abeokuta Sport Club has to be relevant to the society and the yearnings of the downtrodden humanity in that club’s environment and show humility and benevolence to humanity by giving SCHOLARSHIPS to indigent students not only in Ogun State but across the country. This should be part of their investiture plan this year and beyond.
