The association of air transport news management professionals, otherwise known and addressed as the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents-Nigeria, LAAC-N, has scheduled the 29th edition of its annual conference for Thursday, 7th August 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
The conference theme is “Aviation Financing in Nigeria: The Risks and Prospects.” The league resolves this year to get to the soul of aviation businesses in which the availability of capital, and at a rate that inspires survival, growth, and development, is imperative, and should not be a source of increasing the mortality of beneficiary companies.
In order to do justice to the main subject, about six (6) sub-themes have been developed and of which their critical examination would generate clues to the refreshingly novel methods to adopt in overcoming present stumbling blocks as they manifest to industry players and some of which hinder growth.
Hence, the conference has been arranged to conduct clinical examination and provide tested and proven solutions to a wide range of issues central to Nigeria’s aviation development, including but not limited to;
Airport infrastructure development, Aircraft leasing and financing mechanisms, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) funding, Aviation fuel supply and pricing, Regulatory reforms and consumer protection, Navigational infrastructure and airspace management, Insurance, risk management and sectoral investment strategies, among others.

According to a media statement by the conference planning committee, the 29th edition of the conference will also feature the launch of a commemorative publication titled “Celebrating Champions of Aviation Development”, which aims to recognize individuals, organizations, and state governments that have played transformative roles in advancing the aviation sector since the return to democratic governance in 1999.
Courtesy of the broad spectrum of issues to be addressed and the award and recognition of some of the contributors to the growth of the industry, this year’s edition of the conference promises to be a landmark gathering.
The event will certainly provide access to a cross-fertilisation of ideas for policy makers, regulators, airline operators, financial institutions, airport managers, insurance firms, service providers, and other stakeholders.
The LAAC Annual Conference has, over the years, evolved into a premier gathering for the aviation industry, helping to shape policy, spotlight investment opportunities, and enhance synergy among stakeholders in Nigeria’s aviation value chain.
