LASTMA Operatives Urge to Gear Up for Imminent Repositioning- Sola Giwa

The rank and file of personnel of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, have been urged to brace up to the novel idea soon to be introduced for the repositioning and revitalization of the foremost road traffic management agency in Nigeria, nay the African continent- LASTMA.
The newly appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, gave the charge at his maiden meeting with the management of LASTMA, with the Permanent Secretary of the Transportation Ministry, Alhaji Kamal Olowoshago, in attendance.
Hon Sola Giwa called on all staff of LASTMA in the field and those in office to embrace the growth mindset presently being promoted in the Lagos State Public Service.
He said with the growth mindset, nothing noble will be impossible to achieve as vices, immorality, and indiscipline of all shades will be effectively repelled due to the sterling virtues the growth mindset will engender.
The S.A. on Transportation reminded LASTMA management that Transportation and Traffic Management does not only take a pre-eminent position in Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda for the state government, but it’s of personal interest to him as the T. holds the aces for the success of the remaining five pillars, H.E.M.E.S.
Hon. Giwa however, acknowledged some of the inadequacies the officers unavoidably had to endure in the course of discharging their official tasks.
He pledged that he will squarely and strictly deal with genuine challenges and not ineptitude confronting personnel with the tripod approach of Welfare, Professionalism and Discipline.
The General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Mr Bolaji Oreagba, lamented the lack of inter-agency cooperation and collaboration which he said often hampered the effectiveness and operations of the personnel.
The LASTMA helmsman, however, pledged total support from the rank and file of personnel for the Special Adviser to Governor on Transportation.
Alhaji Kamal Olowosago, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, charged LASTMA management to ensure the entire staff of the authority brace up to offer unflinching support to the repositioning and revitalization of LASTMA, which is expected to play a pivotal role in creating enabling environment for the T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to thrive.
