LCC Postpones Resumption of Tolling at Lekki-Ikoyi Road

The reopening of toll collection at the Lekki-Ikoyi link road scheduled for today, Sunday 17th April 2022, has been postponed until further notice.

The Managing Director, Lekki Concession Company Limited, Mr Yomi Omomuwasan, in a statement to the media, explained that the postponement was to give room for further engagement with the stakeholders.

The media statement said that “as a responsible organization, we must take full cognizance of everyone within the axis. Therefore, we want to continue with the ongoing engagements with our stakeholders”.

Omomuwasan also added that the postponement would provide more time for residents to get registered for various services through electronic toll devices.

LCC helmsman said, “the planned commencement of toll collection has now been postponed, allowing more of our customers to register for the electronic toll devices to enable seamless passages at the toll plaza.”

He however expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their cooperation towards better service to the communities.

The statement of gratitude averred that “the preparatory operations to resume tolling on the Bridge have been smooth so far, and we are grateful to all the key stakeholders for their cooperation,” Omomuwasan said.
