The Managing Director of Afrijet Airline, Alhaji Mohammed Tukur, has been turbaned, the Walin Batori, by the Makama Katsina Hakimin Bakori, Alhaji Sule Idris Sule.
The District Head of Batori, Alhaij Sule Idris Sule, described Alhaji Mohammed Tukur as a distinguished manager of human and material resources and a philanthropist whose humanitarian services cut across boundaries.
According to the traditional ruler, the title which means a Senior Special Adviser to the District Head of Bakori, places Alhaji Tukur in a very high pedestal as an arbiter within the entire district of Batori, in Katshina state.
The traditional ruler stressed further that the title is highly revered and traditionally, its usually bestowed on an individual who had been tested and found abundantly imbued with proven integrity, impeccable character and deeds of Godly devotion.
These sterling attributes the district’s traditional council members found in abundance and overwhelming in Alhaji Mohammed Tukur, hence he was found eminently qualified for the honour
In his response, Alhaji Mohammed thanked the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmumuni Kabir Usman, for granting the approval for Makama Katsina Hakimin Bakori, to confer the tittle on him.
Tukur who is also the current Chairman, Hudson bay, said he viewed the honour as a challenge to do more for the society. He promised not to take the honour for granted by doubling up in his usual selfless service to humanity.
Alhaji Mohammed Tukur was a pioneer Senior Manager and Coordinator of Operations for the defunct Chanchangi Airline. He was part of the active staff that took the airline to its zenith before joining Arijet Airline as an Executive Director Corporate Services.
Alhaji Mohammed Tukur was also for several years, the Deputy General Secretary of the Airline Operators of Nigeria, (AON), until baton changed hand few years agoShare
