Nahco-aviance Delivers 1st Tranche of Multi-Billion Naira Equipment

The management of West Africa’s foremost ground handling service provider, nacho aviance, has assigned 21 brand new cars to 21 of its well-trained personnel in an initial phase of the planned multi-billion Naira investment in equipment renewal, expansion, and scale-up of Ground Service Equipment, GSE, and operational vehicles.
Nacho-aviance Chairman, Dr. Seinde Fadeni Oladapo, while handing the keys of the cars to Mr. Didier Roger Steullet, the Chief Operating Officer, COO, nahco aviance, announced that the promise made by the management to procure state-of-the-art Ground Support Equipment, GSE, will soon be fulfilled.
Dr. Seinde Fadeni Oladapo, while speaking at the commissioning of the 21 operations vehicles hinted that, “The scale of the GSE the Company is purchasing is so massive that what you have here in the terms of these operations vehicles is very small by comparison,” he said.
He however noted that in the face of the instability in the foreign exchange market, coupled with the free fall of the local currency- Naira- in recent months, the management was undeterred in committing humougous financial resources to source for the forex content of the GSE.
In order for the staff to appreciate the resolve of the management to procure the GSE against all odds, Fadeni Oladapo disclosed that the equipment procurement required 95% of its value to be paid in US dollars and the management had committed to deliver through a confirmed order for the state of the art GSE.
He assured that the management will not waiver from the company’s philosophy of providing the workers enabling environment to deliver on their tasks, and the right tools to guarantee quality service delivery, while enabling the company to be ahead of the competition and at the same time, surpassing the expectations of its customers.
The board chairman also commended the staff for their resilience, diligence, and commitment to the service charter of nahco aviance.
In his remark, the Group Executive Director, GED, International Business & Corporate Service, Dr. Sola Obabori, implored the staff to put the vehicles to good use.
He reassured the workers that the Company will always provide the ideal environment to work, and the right equipment for its workforce to deliver excellent service. Obabori appealed to the 21 allotees of the new vehicles to take good care of the investment placed in their care.
The Assistant General Manager, AGM, GSE, Mr. Charles Karinga, acknowledged that the vehicles will go a long way in ameliorating the challenges staff contend with in the course of discharging their official task. He promised that adequate care would be taken of the new vehicles.
Company officials at the handing over ceremony included the Group Executive Director, GED, Commercial & Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi; Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Didier Roger Steullet; the Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Adeoye Emiloju, and the General Manager, External Relations, Mr. Ahmed Bashir Gulmah.
Also, present at the event were the union leaders, including the Chairman, NUATE, Prince Nnochiri; Secretary-General ATSSSAN, Henry Okon and Vice President II, ATSSSAN, Vera Egbukichi
