Dr Seinde Fadeni Oladapo, Chairman Board of Directors, NAHCO Plc

The Board of Directors and Management of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc., Nahco Plc, have refuted as utter falsehood, the claim making the rounds in the social media that its chairman of the board of directors, Dr Seinde Fadeni Oladapo, was involved in the mismanagement of the N90bn hajj subsidy released to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, by the federal government of Nigeria.

According to the media statement from Nahco Plc, signed by the Company Secretary, Bello Abdullahi, it thus affirmed, “We wish to categorically state that the post is false, erroneous, and misleading”.

The statement clarified further that, “this erroneous post is baseless and has nothing to do with the Board Chairman of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc”.

Bello Abdullahi explained in the statement that, “the content of the said report referred to the Hajj subsidy, pilgrims’ accommodations and other Hajj related operations which have nothing to do with the Chairman of NAHCO Plc”.

Abdullahi however noted that “the author of the post erroneously referred to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nahco Plc”, as being involved in the ongoing investigation in the sleaze in which National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has been exclusively named and its chairman being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

The statement emphasized thus, “It is instructive to state that NAHCO PLC is a company with Limited Public Liability, privately owned by shareholders”.

Nahco Plc “urged the public, our customers/clients and our esteemed shareholders to disregard the baseless and unfounded allegations as they have nothing to do with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc, NAHCO Plc.

The statement reiterated thus, “we wish to assure that the Board and Management of NAHCO Plc, remain focused on delivering value to our esteemed shareholders and customers/clients, and upholding the trust reposed in us”.

It is germane as repetition for emphasise that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria mission statement claimed it is “to diligently implement the NAHCON Act”. While the vision statement ascribes to NAHCON the task, “to provide efficient and effective services to (the Nigerian Muslim) Pilgrims”.
