The Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, has signed a Service Level Agreement, SLA, with the Ekiti State Government for the provision of air traffic control to the government’s Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.

Signing on behalf of the Managing Director of NAMA, Engr Farouk Ahmed Umar, was Mrs Isemiuhonmon Rita Egbadon, Director of Legal Services and Company Secretary, who said the SLA was another Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, which said was more than a contract.

Engr Farouk described the SLA signed as “a symbol of action, cooperation and shared vision.”

In the Governor’s reaction, the Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, who represented the state governor said the event marked a crucial moment as the state advanced towards enhancing the safety, efficiency, and reliability of airspace and air traffic management, as the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport is getting set to start flight operations.

The Governor described the partnership with NAMA as a testament to the shared commitment of both parties to advancing the development of aviation infrastructure and services in Nigeria.
