NCAA Grants Increase Students’ Enrollment in Aviation College Ilorin

The International Aviation College, IAC, Ilorin, has fulfilled stipulated conditions for an Aviation Training Institute of its class and has been granted approval by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to henceforth, increase its students’ intake.
A media statement by IAC Ilorin said the approval for the increase in student intake was a result of the college management’s fulfillment of the conditionalities in modern training, such as state-of-the-art equipment, technical competence of instructors, and a conducive learning environment, among others.
The statement acknowledged that the strict adherence to ICAO’s stipulated training standards as dispensed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, was made possible by the moral and adequate budgetary support of the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore, whose ministry interfaces between the state government and the college, was quoted to have made the announcement on the approval for the increase in the number of students’ admission.
Dr. Abolore commended the IAC Governing Board, Management, and staff for their commitment severally and collectively to the meteoric rise in the status of the modest training school in Nigeria. He said the college will not relent on its oars but cling dearly to its growth trajectory to become a force to reckon with in Africa and at the global level.
Abolore cited the recent approval of N75m by the state government as part of the fund for the procurement of equipment to upgrade some facilities in the college.
Alhaji Ahmed Gobir, Chairman of the Governing Board, IAC, and the Acting Rector, Capt. Yakubu Okatahi, commended the Kwara State’s Executive Council, under the able team leader, Gov. AbdulRazaq for the commitment to repositioning the College for effective and efficient service delivery.
Mall Jibril Jimada, Registrar of IAC, explained the College had fulfilled the requirements of the NCAA hence, the regulator “graciously relaxed the status of limitation placed on the College and consequently grants its approval for our Training Institution to admit new Students for Pilot Course (PPL, CPL, SE, ME, IR) and Flight Operation Officers (FOO) Course.”
Jimada expressed gratitude to the Governor for giving the College an enabling environment to thrive and added that the approval to admit more new students into the College wouldn’t have been possible without the untiring commitment and huge investment by the present administration in the College
