NCAT Pays Glowing Tribute To PBAT, New Rector, Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu

The Acting Rector, Mr Joseph Imalighwe, and the entire staff of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, NCAT, have expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PBAT, for the appointment of Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu, PhD, as the substantive Rector/Chief Executive of NCAT.
According to a media statement from NCAT and signed by the Director of Information, Dr Jude Amadi, he noted that the choice of Mr President has rightly placed a round peg in a round hole as evidenced in the rich profile and pedigree of the new Rector.
The statement described Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu as a consummate academician and an administrator of repute.
The abridged resume stated that Dr Adamu holds a B.Sc and MBA degrees from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, and a PhD thesis on “The impacts of International Air Transport Liberalization: the case for Nigeria“ from the University of Huddersfield United Kingdom.

He added that Adamu’s “quest for greater knowledge in civil aviation management and operations led him to attend many aviation conferences, seminars and courses like: Air transport marketing, Westminster; ICAO Trainair-plus competency Course, EASA Kenya; ICAO Basic AVSEC course, Bahrain, to mention but a few.
The statement highlighted that just before “Dr Ismaila Adamu’s appointment, he has till date, been an Aviation Management Resource person in NCAT”.
The NCAT statement also affirmed that Dr Adamu “has spent time and resources to prepare and equip himself for this national assignment. Without an iota of doubt, he combines deep knowledge and expertise in both the air transport (aviation) and land transport sectors”.

He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the UK, and the Air Transport Research Society, among others.
Dr Ismaila Adamu was described as “a happy family man, son of the soil and is gladly welcomed back home to NCAT”.
