President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PBAT, has given attention to the nation’s transportation sector and this time around, to the education facet of both air and water transportation.
Hence, the President approved the appointment of the governing councils for the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, MAN, Oron, and the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State.
Approved as chairman of the governing council of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria, is Anthony Manzo, while Ngozi Okuoma, Durungunwa Abdulmalik, Biodun Taiwo, and Florence Toyin Olorunfemi, will serve as members.
For the chairman of the governing council, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, the president appointed Kehinde Akinola. Other appointed board members are Shehu Maigari Doguwa, Samuel Isichei, and Faisal Lawal Halidu.
The president urged the new members of the governing boards of the two institutions to serve with integrity and devotion to the enhancement of their structural, academic, and all-round academic standards that would propel the students on graduation to positively impact their spheres of the transportation sector of the economy.
