NIGAV 2025 AWARD: Kuku Emerges Aviation Agency CEO of The Year

The organizer of the Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV) Conference, Exhibition, and Awards, FCI International Ltd., has announced Mrs Olubunmi Oluseun Kuku, Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, as the star winner of one of its two scores and two awards categories available for grab.
A media statement released by Mr Fortune Idu, Chairman FCI International, said results of the online poll revealed that Mrs Kuku was overwhelmingly voted for as the Aviation Industry’s Agency Chief Executive Officer Of The Year 2024.
The statement elucidated the modus operandi of the process thus, “the poll, conducted by NIGAV, saw the FAAN helmswoman pulled 35.3 percent of the over 3,500 online respondents and votes cast.
In a congratulatory message, Fortune Idu informed that the award will be presented to the FAAN MD at the 14th Nigeria Aviation Award and Ministerial Dinner taking place on 11th April 2025, at the NIGAV Centre, at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, in Lagos.

The statement hinted on the crème de la crème of distinguished guests expected to grace the award presentation to include His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State; Barr. Festus Keyamo, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, distinguished Senator George Akume.
Given the wherefore and whereto of the process that produced the victor, the statement said, “The selection process for this year began on February 1, 2025, and involved over 3500 online respondents and votes, making it the most inclusive and credible industry recognition program in Nigeria”.
It further claimed thus, “this event is the pinnacle of a unified aviation celebration, during which the NIGAV Award Chairman will present to you the Aviation Year Annual Report.”
Highlighting the FAAN MD’s performance, the statement affirmed that “Kuku has revamped infrastructure across the country’s airports and introduced innovative processes and procedures, which have seen the country’s airports win laurels”.
While the statement noted that “Airlines companies have heaved a sigh of relief in their operations regarding the state of the airport facilities”.
