Late barrister Margaret Nkem Onyema-Orakwusi
The Management and staff of the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, have expressed their deep shock over the death of Barr. Margaret Nkem Onyema-Orakwusi.
A statement from NIWA signed by Jibril Darda’u, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, it described barrister Onyema-Orakwusi, as a foremost maritime practitioner, and the chairman of the Nigerian Ship Owners Forum, and she held membership of many notable organizations in the country.
NIWA Managing Director, Dr. George Moghalu, described the deceased as an Icon of the Maritime Industry who had contributed to the growth and development of NIWA and the entire maritime industry in general.
The statement said late Barr. Onyema-Orakwusi was a client and friend of NIWA and the agency will sorely miss her.
Moghalu also personally commiserated with her family and especially the nuclear family members and loved ones she left behind.
He prayed to God Almighty to grant family members and her business partners the fortitude to bear the great loss.
The entire management and staff of NIWA prayed to the almighty God to grant the gentle soul of the late Barr. Margaret Nkem Onyema-Orakwusi, a perfect rest in tranquility.
