SAHCO FUMIGATES FACILITIES TO CURTAIL THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

One of the leading ground handling companies in Nigeria, Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc, SAHCO, has concluded comprehensive fumigation of all its facilities nationwide and with special attention to its ultra-modern cargo warehouse as a way to protect staff, clients, cargo and equipment against the novel COVID-19 pandemic that is almost succeeding at grounding air transport worldwide.
SAHCO which has earned the mandate of the federal government to provide ground and cargo handling services for the aircraft bringing essential medical materials for the testing and treatment of Coronavirus, also provides emergency services for foreign airlines with the mission to evacuate her nationals even, both the infected and healed among the alien residents returning to their home country.

According to a statement signed by the Manager, Corporate Communications, Uansohia Adetola Vanessa, “Massive campaigns were organized for all categories of staff in all locations across Nigeria informing staff of the measures to take to prevent infection in the course of their duty and at home. Emphasis was made on hand hygiene and the procedures demonstrated. The Aircraft Cleaning staff, the Passenger Agents, the Baggage/Cargo handlers were given detailed briefs and attention.
The statement further said, “Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was distributed to all staff to prevent infection. All customers facing staff were given nose and mouth masks. Temperature readers, hand wash facilities and hand sanitisers were provided in all SAHCO locations for both customer and staff. Bulletins on critical information about the COVID -19 had been distributed to staff and circulated in all notice boards and offices.
As a responsible organization with the management resolution to curtail the spread of coronavirus had properly kitted operational staff with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, and had been acquainted with the procedures to take to prevent infection.
