UAE Resumes Visa Issuance to Nigerians

The UAE government has begun issuance of visa to qualified Nigerian applicants and urged other travellers requiring visa to visit the, Emirate Lagos office from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am to 2pm.

According to the statement, the company to handle Visa application for travellers from Nigeria, VHS Global, had resumed its services today Thursday, 8th October, 2020.

The statement urged applicants to complete their forms and submit same online via email, containing necessary details as newly stipulated by the government of the UAE.

It stated thus, “we are pleased to inform you that, VFS Global, the authorized UAE visa handler as appointed by the United Arab Emirate, have resumed their visa service starting today, 8th October, 2020”.

The statement reminded applicants that they are under compulsion to provide satisfactory evidence of compliance to the newly introduced conditionality for procuring visa thus;   

1. Valid Return Ticket

2. Hotel Booking or sufficient proof of accommodation address covering full length of their stay in the UAE as per the duration stated in their booking.

3. Negative PCR test result obtained within a 96 hour window prior to departure.

4. Valid Health Insurance covering full duration of stay in the UAE.

Furthermore, applicants are urged to try out the usual link as the statement assured that the link should become serviceable by tomorrow, Friday, 9th October, 2020.

However, some of the successful applicants whose visa applications were approved today, took to twitter handle to jubilate.

An applicant who sailed through and confirmed the issuance of visa on his twitter handle, @adeleke4lov, wrote, “Congratulations to Nigerians. UAE 90 days Inside country visa change portal is open now!”

Doris@Doris43922389 wrote on her twitter handle, “they have actually started the issuance of all visas for Nigerians today. I just got my work visa today. To God alone I give all the praise”.

Another excited applicant who got favourable response and was full of appreciation to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, was Elijah Ayosbaba @elijahowolabi, who wrote, Its real….. Thanks sir….next Nigeria president 2023”.
