Waka About Africa to Assemble in Lagos, Bigwigs in Government Business

All roads lead to the LCCI Conference Centre, Ikeja, the venue of the 2022 edition of Waka About Africa annual lecture, coming up in less than 48 hours, Thursday 22nd September.
The theme of the much-awaited public lecture is, “FinTechTour: Unlocking Opportunities for Nigerian Businesses”.
According to a media release signed by Nwanma Chinyere Ogidi, publisher of Waka About Africa, the lecture which will be the first of its kind in the country, will bring together policymakers, media groups, professionals and stakeholders in the ICT, finance, aviation, tourism, hospitality and culture sectors.
The august occasion would provide a golden opportunity for players in the broad spectrum of related sectors to interact under one roof to share experiences and unlock opportunities.
Nwanma said, “The objective of the lecture is to forge a warm relationship among finance, technology and tourism professionals and stakeholders with the view to make them realize and appreciate the interconnectivity of these sectors and their importance in the Nigerian economy.”
Prof. Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will be the Keynote Speaker, while Dr Victor Alewo Adoji, Economist, and Strategist, is the Guest Lecturer. Prof. Samuel Olabanji Aje, Vice-Chancellor, of Achievers University will chair the lecture.
Other dignitaries expected are Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture who will be the Special Guest of Honour, Senator Hadi Abubakar Sirika, Minister of Aviation, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, will be among the panel of discussants at the event which will also entertain goodwill messages.
Furthermore, expected guests at the conference include government officials, politicians, traditional rulers, Captains of Industry, professionals in Nigeria’s banking and finance industry, members of the diplomatic corps, culture and tourism professionals, journalists, and members of the public.
