The Institute of Nigerian Aeronautical Engineers, INAE, which has been airborne for a couple of months, especially the committee saddled with the task of arranging for an international lecture and Annual General Meeting, AGM, for 2025, has announced a date change.

Earlier, the committee members saddled with the arrangement had announced their packages would be unpacked and every material, particularly arranged for the annual event, would begin to be unfolded on 21st through 22nd October 2025.

However, as the committee reappraised its parameters, its flight path, weather, the amount of headwind, slight turbulence, which slowed the speed and slightly inhibited smooth sailing, among other factors, have all impacted the Expected Time of Arrival, ETA, erstwhile fixed for 21st October 2025.

Hence, the aeronautical engineers have been compelled to reach the tower at its expected destination, and the Expected Time of Arrival, ETA, has accordingly been adjusted to 9th December 2025.

The leadership of the institute, as exemplified by its President, Engr (Dr) Charles Enebei, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, FNSE, has assured that all necessary factors for a safe and exciting arrival on 9th December are being put in place with digital precision.

Chairman of the conference and AGM planning committee, Engr Tajudeen T. Fadairo, also exuded confidence and said that, being a distinguished professional body (INAE), the international event must exude all that would make the occasion a memorable and impactful event.

According to the planning committee, the keynote speaker remains the renowned Professor of Aeronautical Engineering, Chris Odetunde, Vice Chancellor of Augustine University, Epe, Lagos State.

The highly revered scholar, teacher, researcher, and administrator par excellence will critically appraise the role of aviators, essentially aeronautical engineers, under the Renewed Hope Agenda program of the federal government, and as being driven in relation to the aviation and aerospace industry development and its catalytic impact on the national economy.

The Nigeria Aeronautical Engineers said the august event would engage in a classical evaluation of the aviators’ role in the Renewed Hope Agenda program of the federal government, especially as it so far affects the aviation and aerospace sectors of the national economy and prospective investors in the industry.

This year’s event is fittingly themed, “Transformation of Aviation Industry in Nigeria; The Role of Aviators- The Aeronautical Engineers”. Interested participants are urged to register for just Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00K) only, for the unique tutorial which the occasion, with the promise of a highly seminal discourse will avail participants.

The organisers said the event will parade the crème de la crème of distinguished aviators, such as Dr Olusegun Harold Demurin, one of the very few Eminent Civil Aviation Legends, ECAL, in Nigeria, Capt Chris Najomo, Director General Civil Aviation, DGCA, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, among other renowned aviators and aviation enthusiasts who have given assurance of their attendance.

The international lecture and the AGM will be held at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Annexe, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos State.
