FAAN applauds Gov. Seyi Makinde for facilitating Cat 6 fire cover

Good Corporate Social Responsibility: Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has been credited for the recent attainment of Category 6 fire cover status of the Ibadan Airport recently certified by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA
The Ibadan Airport Manager, Mrs Aiyenuro Oghenetega E., on behalf of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, expressed immense gratitude to the Oyo State Governor for his unflinching support to the airport management which culminated in closing some gaps and progressing to bag Category 6 status in the provision of fire cover for the airport.
The Airport Manager in a letter of gratitude to the Governor Makinde, with reference number, Ref No FAAN/IB/AM/421C/VOL.I and dated 29th April 2021, stated that, “with a deep sense of gratitude, I humbly write to appreciate and congratulate Your Excellency on the recent attainment of the Category 6 status of the Fire Cover for the Ibadan Airport”.
Mrs Aiyenuro Oghenetega in the letter said, “Oyo State has been part of the process of the attainment of the Cat 6 status vis-a vis recognition by NCAA from the inception”

She stated further that, “the management of FAAN is aware and appreciative of all the human and material resources the State has committed to ensuring this feat is achieved in record time”.
Oghenetega stated in the letter of gratitude that, “I wish to state, therefore, that this feat may be pronounced as the exclusive achievement of this administration. I assure you sir that your name will remain indelible in the sands of time”.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, CPS Taiwo Adisa, made public the generous spirit of the Governor to support laudable government program not on political party bases but on the bases of relevance and the value such program will add to the people of the state.
Adisa also commended the appreciative spirit of the management of FAAN which compelled Airport Manager to expressed immense gratitude.
Recalled that barely six weeks ago, Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Monday, 15th March 2021, donated an Operational Fire Truck to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for Use at Ibadan Airport.

The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructures and Transport; Prof Daud Kehinde Sangodoyin, at the brief handing over indicated that the state government decided to make the donation so as to enhance efficient service delivery and maximum security at the Ibadan Airport.
Presenting the truck vehicle to the management of FAAN in the state, the governor stated that the current administration in the state is always concerned with improving the state economy through transportation and emphasised that air transportation is key of the entire transportation ecosystem.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the governor was reported to have said that the fire-truck presentation was a gesture by his administration to support the management of FAAN in its bid to make the airport conducive for the passengers.
Also in September 2020, at heat of the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Seyi Makinde, ordered the acquisition of a brand new vehicle for the airport to conduct surveillance throughout the airport nay its perimeter fence
