FAAN to Become a Model in Efficiency Among Govt, Private Business Enterprises- Olubunmi Kuku

The new Captain in the Cockpit of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s, FAAN’s imaginary aircraft seems set to sail with gusto, candor, excellent parameters, and an infectious enthusiasm to hit her destination with precision, and without delay.
Both the expressions from the mouth of the new helmswoman at FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, Managing Director/Chief Executive, MD/CE, and the candor in the delivery of her well-articulated “flight plan”- which contained the altitude to cruise, the speed, quality of co-pilots, committed cabin crew, with efficient ground/maintenance crew, among others, she enunciated in an unambiguous manner and with infectious conviction.
Olubunmi Kuku declared in clear terms that, along with her management team, “our mission is to transform the agency into the most efficient and effective institution in Nigeria” both among government business entities and privately run commercial concerns.
Kuku reminded her management crew that they are not merely to work and earn their salaries and perks but under obligation to up service level delivery to various consumers of the airport services.
She enthused, “We carry a huge responsibility to the nation, the flying public; the airlines; tourists, and the international community hence, nothing short of first-class service delivery is expected from the crew sailing the FAAN’s flight- the management- henceforward.
To cope with the air of festivities of the season and to exhibit appreciation for various genres of consumers, Kuku urged her team thus; “There is an urgency of yesterday in revving up our operations as we have fully entered the busiest season of the year for airline operations. To ensure we have smooth, safe, and secure operations throughout the season, let us do our jobs with patriotism and a smile on our faces, spreading the joy of the Yuletide.
She told her team of the onerous responsibility of improving the battered image of the country which she described as one of the core ambitions for her office.
Kuku reasoned that if the airport is generally accepted as an infrastructure and equipment or as a tool for economic development, then as MD/CE she had the task “to improve on the agency’s professionalism in enhancing user experience, passengers’ seamless facilitation, security, safety, and standards”.
The brand new MD/CE reminded her crew there is already a “flight plan” by the presidency which must be synchronized with the minister’s agenda and must be seamlessly ventilated by her flight crew –FAAN management- to deliver on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewd Hope Agenda” for Nigerians.
She reiterated that all information from the maiden briefing must be ventilated “following the policy and program direction of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo
