FG Says Nigeria Air Aircraft Will Arrive Abuja Tomorrow

The Federal Government of Nigeria, FGN, under the leadership of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, President, (Rtd) has re-assured Nigerians for the umpteenth time since the Farnborough debacle in 2018, that in less than 48 hours, the aircraft of Nigeria Air would touch down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday 26th of May 2023, unfailingly.
Sen. Hadi Sirika, Aerospace, and Aviation Minister, vehemently gave the assurance in a chat with Channels tv after the valedictory Federal Executive Council, FEC, Meeting held at the council chambers, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
On interrogation after the FEC meeting on Wednesday, Sirika said, “On Friday, in two days, the Nigeria Air airplane will land in Nigeria as part of the processes to commence operations,” he assured.
The first-ever Minister of Aerospace further explained the preliminary activities that would take place in preparing the aircraft for commercial operations on safe landing and said, “We will on landing unveil the aircraft with the livery, and everything in Nigeria colours, belonging to Nigeria Air”.
He however added that an outward flight by the aircraft would still thereafter be embarked upon for the purpose of making the machine to be in optimum airworthiness for the historic revival of the national airline for the most populous black nation on the planet earth.
Sirika said that shortly after unveiling the aircraft with the livery of the national flag, “we will proceed to go and do the retrofitting and bring back those airplanes”, he emphasized.
As a corollary to the proposed delivery of the aircraft in national colours, the aircraft would shortly later be flown out of the country for more add-ons before being finally launched into commercial operation.
The Aerospace and Aviation minister, however, by his own estimation pronounced that his ministry had successfully achieved all it set out to achieve at the commencement of the outgoing regime in 2015
Sirika enthused thus, “We will proceed to go and do the retrofitting and bring back those airplanes. So we have achieved a hundred percent (100%) of the roadmap”
