Governor Dapo Abiodun Appoints Dr Toyin Taiwo Chief of Staff

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced the appointment of Dr Toyin Taiwo, as the substantive Chief of Staff, CoS, to the Governor.
Prior to thi appointment Dr Taiwo was the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) to the Governor. His elevation as announced is with immediate effect.
According to the media statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, the Governor had formally presented Dr. Toyin Taiwo with his appointment letter on Wednesday, 18th December 2024. Thus the appointment have taken effect from that date.
The Governor commended Dr. Taiwo for his loyalty, commitment, and contributions that have been adding value to the arduous task Governor’s office demands in generating people oriented policies and in the delivery of dividend of democracy to the populace.
Hence the Governor describing the Taiwo’s appointment as “well deserved” and emphasized his confidence in Taiwo’s ability to excel in his new responsibilities.
On his part, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, extolled the virtues exhibited by Dr. Taiwo which earned him the appointment as “a reflection of the Governor’s trust in his dedication and capacity to drive the administration’s goals forward.”
Akinmade noted that “Dr. Taiwo in his brand new position is expected to oversee strategic administrative functions and provide support to ensure the Governor’s vision for Ogun State is achieved”.
Dr. Taiwo was sworn-in at the first tenure of Governor Abiodun as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism before his appointment as the Deputy Chief of Staff, a role he held until his latest promotion.
Toyin Taiwo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and went on to pursue advanced degrees, until he bagged a Ph.D
