An Empirical observational study of the entire modus operandi of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, NCAT, Zaria, has revealed the rationale for its yet-to-be-super-optimal in service delivery, which includes, among other things, poor remuneration of both academic and non-academic staff and insufficient annual budgetary allocation for capital projects.
These identified albatrosses have also been credited with the high rate of turnover of academic and other technical staff at the doyen of aviation training institutes in Africa, NCAT, Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Rector/Chief Executive of NCAT, Dr. Danjuma A. Ismaila, confided these revelations to the legislators from the House of Representatives. The legislators visited the Zaria campus to perform their routine oversight of their legislative duties.
They were led by the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation Technology, Hon Tajudeen Kareem Abisodun, who, in the company of other committee members, conducted a very thorough inspection of facilities at NCAT.

The Rector also commended the past administrations of NCAT for entrenching a robust pedigree by which, the college would continue to soar ad infinitum and continue waxing stronger in both domestic and international relevance.
He fervently requested the committee’s assistance in improving budgetary allocation and funding for the college.

He also bemoaned the poor wage profile of the college staff and expressed optimism that enhanced remuneration packages for the college staff would mitigate staff poaching by other well-to-do players in the industry.
