One of Enugu Air’s Brand New Aircraft
The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO Plc, has breezed into the second quarter of the year in a very remarkable manner by entering into ground handling service agreements with five airlines- two domestic airlines and three international carriers.
A media statement from Nahco Plc, signed by the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Olutayo Ajakaye, chronicled the five airlines starting with the brand new domestic airliner, Enugu Air, and Dornier Aviation on the domestic terrain.
Others that ply both regional and international routes are Morocco’s national airline, Royal Air Maroc, Kenya’s national carrier, Kenyan Airways, and Cronos Airlines from Equatorial Guinea, headquartered in Malabo,
The new contractual service level agreement with Dornier Aviation covers passenger flight handling operations for a period of three years. Full ground handling service shall be rendered in airport or aerodromes in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Osubi, and at any other airports in Nigeria that the company may wish to extend its service.

The latest addition to the domestic operators in Nigeria, Enugu Air, has opted for NAHCO. The airline’s smart management chose to partner with NAHCO to take advantage of Nahco’s wealth of ground handling experience garnered over more than 46 years.
Hence, Nahco is contractually bound to handle Enugu Air operations in all locations in Nigeria. The contract covers passenger flight operations for five years for all locations in Nigeria.
The statement by NAHCO also listed the renewal contract with Cronos Airline for three years as one of the contracts. It covers passenger flight operations for the airline in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
For Royal Air Maroc, NAHCO announced the addition of cargo freighter and cargo warehousing for Lagos and Abuja. The contract covers five years and will end in November 2029. Royal Air Maroc has a subsisting ground handling contract with NAHCO which covers all other areas of its operations in Nigeria.
Nahco also signed a renewal contract with Kenya Airways that seals the partnership between the two for the next five years. The contract with KQ covers passenger and cargo operations in Nigeria and covers any other related service from other relevant businesses the airline may venture into within the contract period.

It would be recalled that early this year, the West African leader in ground handling service, Nahco Plc, had announced new contracts with regional operators, Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone, for the smooth handling of their ground operations in Nigeria.
Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, NAHCO Plc, Prince Saheed Lasisi, expressed delight with the new contracts and described them as very good and beneficial both to NAHCO and the airlines.
“This is truly very good for NAHCO and the airlines we have signed these contracts with. When the client’s aircraft is on the ground, there is just one Company that can take care of its operations like her very own. That Company is NAHCO. This fact is not lost on Airline operators. Those who want the best service will always come to us,” Prince Lasisi boasted.
The Group Managing Director, NAHCO Plc, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, described the development as a sign of greater things to come in NAHCO. He assured clients and stakeholders of NAHCO’s focus on daily and consistent improvements in all aspects of its operations.
