The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has succeeded in adding another big fish into its fold through the induction of Mrs Obiagheli Orah, the Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Director with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN.

NIPR’s aggressive drive for membership spotted Obiagheli Orah performing her assigned task in FAAN, bringing a new drive into the airports managers’ public communications, and standing up for the rights and privileges of passengers in an uncommon way.

Hence, the NIPR membership committee deployed its strict metrics for assessment, and the weight was irrefutable as Orah’s performance over the past year in the saddle, found her to eminently foot the bill.

However, Obiagheli Orah’s induction was slated neither for a state event in FAAN’s headquarters in Lagos, nor in Abuja but the ceremony took place at the grand international event, the Nigerian Public Relations Week (NPRW), in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The international gathering had on parade the crème de la crème of distinguished practitioners, industry experts, and government officials from across the nation.

The NIPRW also quadrupled as the occasion to mark the official admission of new members into the Institute, renowned for championing excellence, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the practice of public relations in Nigeria.

Veteran practitioners described Orah’s induction as a reflection of her outstanding achievements in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and consumer advocacy.

To even uncanny observers, her role at FAAN has been of tremendous instrumentality to fostering public trust, enhancing customer experiences, and promoting transparent communication between the Authority and the Nigerian public.

While speaking after the ceremony, Obiagheli Orah expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honour and pledged greater dedication to ethical and impactful public relations.

She enthused, “This recognition not only underscores my commitment to continuous professional development but also fuels my resolve to advance effective public communication and meaningful consumer engagement at FAAN and beyond”.

Earlier in her goodwill message during the event’s opening session, Mrs. Orah commended NIPR’s vital role in promoting national unity. She highlighted the Institute’s contributions to peace-building and its continued support for Nigeria during pivotal times.
