In accordance to the mission and vision of the Wings Support Family Foundation, WSFF (aka Nigeria Aviation Family), a not-for-profit organization established by veteran aviators and aviation professionals, has dispatched its maiden educational book, Nigeria Aviation And Aerospace Development: All You Need To Know, to the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.
The book, published in 2023, was unveiled to the public on 14th November 2024 by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, who was represented by Mrs. Obiagheli Orah, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN. The book has since been widely acclaimed.
According to the author, Engr. Francis Adebo Adegoke, the first Nigerian to be licensed by Boeing Aircraft Company, as a Turbo Jet Powered Flight Engineer in 1973- the book is the provision of education and mentoring from secondary school age up to tertiary level.

Further in the dedication column, the author claimed the book is a means to encourage the young ones to choose their career among the various arms of the aviation value chain.
In fulfilment of its pledge, the recently unveiled 291-page book titled Nigeria Aviation and Aerospace Development: All You Need To Know has started to be distributed to Nigerian students.
On Thursday, 22nd May 2025, in fulfilment of the pledge by the foundation, consignments of the instructive and historical literature were delivered to a representative of the Federal Ministry of Education in Lagos, Mr. Zachari Magaji, the Principal of Kings College, Lagos.
An instructive aspect of this gesture is the self-evident truth that this group of very senior citizens, who are mostly octogenarians, are still owed about N47 billion in pensions and gratuities by the federal government they served in their prime of life.

Yet, they kept that challenge in view but chose to expend their frail energies to help cultivate the love of aviation and aerospace in the hearts and minds of their grandchildren- the present Nigerian youths they target in secondary schools and in various tertiary institutions are in the class of their grandchildren.
Seems the attachment these veterans have for aviation, the youths, and for Nigeria is such a form of addiction that the aroma it exudes through the virtues overtly displayed is stronger than being hooked to coffee.
How and why this disposition by these very senior citizens is yet to be unravelled by this writer.
