OONI HOSTS AJE FESTIVAL TO INSPIRE PROSPERITY NATIONWIDE

The entire State of Osun is in top gear for the annual Aje festival, while the palace of the Oonirisha, is in the clinical top-notch for the epoch-making event which will be flagged off by, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.
The legendary Aje festival will kick off at the palace of the Ooni Orisha, on Monday, Ojo Aje, (day of prosperity) 24th February, with prayers and cleansing of the entire Ife kingdom and other activities will follow in quick succession.
To assist the Oonirisha in this onerous task of spiritual cleansing for the commercial success of entrepreneurs of various shades in Ife and its environs, nay the state of Osun and the entire country, is Princess Dr Toyin Kolade, who is officially designated as the host while the Oonirisha, is the Chief Host.
According to a media statement from the palace of the royal majesty, Ooni of Ife, ”Aje Festival will no doubt herald a new breath of life into the commercial and economic activities not only in Ile Ife and environs but throughout Yoruba land and the whole of Nigeria’’.
The statement said further that, the Aje Festival is an All-White attired affair symbolizing purity, peace, unity and progress. Market women and men are expected to display an array of their farm products such as foodstuffs, arts and craft, to enable both indigenes and visitors savour the unparallel natural endowment the almighty God has bestowed on Ife and Osun state in general.
Visitors and fun-seekers have been assured of abundant to eat, drink and be merry as prosperity inspires conviviality. The statement noted that the 2020 Aje Festival promises to be a memorable event.
