The families of Olateru and Famuse have announced the death of their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
An announcement by the family reads, “with gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the passing unto glory of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and aunt, Mrs. C. B. Olateru, nee Famuse.”
A statement signed by Engr. Akin Olateru, the undisputed poster boy of aviation in Nigeria, and the Director General, of Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, said mama passed on to glory on 24th November 2022, at the ripe age of 84 years.
According to the statement, the funeral rite for mama dubbed “Celebration of Life” will begin on Friday, 27th January 2023, with a Christian wake at Atlantis Hall, Osogbo, by 4 pm.
While the final funeral rite dubbed, “Celebration of Life Service” is scheduled for Saturday, 28th January 2023, and it will hold by 10 am, also at Atlantis Hall, Osogbo.
Reception for guests of the families is scheduled tohold by 1 pm, at the Imperial Hall, Osogbo, Osun State.
