The opening match of the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be played between current African Champion, Teranga Lions of Senegal, and the Netherlands.
The epoch-making opening match will be played on 21st November 2022, at the Al Thumama Stadium, Qatar.
Another striking development in the historic opening match is that it will be the first World Cup since 1938 in which neither the defending champion nor the host will be featuring in the opening match.
Recalled that the Netherlands lost in the world cup finals of 1978, and 2010.
