Sole Royal Father Of NIPR Graces Maiden Event, Gov Dapo Abiodun Donates Bus, Pledges Office Space

The sole Royal Father to date, for the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, the Towulade of Akinale, Oba, Barr Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye, PhD, FNIPR, was among the dignitaries which included Governor Dapo Abiodun, of Ogun State, who graced the maiden edition of the Nigeria Public Relations Week, NPRW, with their presence.
The inaugural, action-packed five-day event kicked off on Monday, (22nd – 26th April 2024) at the Ogun State Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, where Governor Abiodun was honoured and conferred the national Patron of the national body of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.

The inauguration of Gov Abiodun was done to the delight of the institute’s board of trustees and other distinguished guests.
The president of the institute, Dr Ike Neliaku, explained that Governor Abiodun was conferred with the PATRON of NIPR by the constitution of the institute which allowed it to honour any governor in the country who has impacted significantly in developing his state.
The Governor pledged an 18-seater bus and a modern office space for the Ogun State chapter of NIPR.

In less than three hours to the pronouncement, the Governor fulfilled his pledge as the Secretary to the state government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, in the company of the Head of the Ogun State Civil Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, returned to the venue of the event and handed the key of a brand new 18 seater bus to Mrs Seun Boye, the Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of NIPR.
The theme of the maiden edition of the Nigeria Public Relations Week was, ”Leveraging Public Relations as a Critical Asset for Nigeria’s Economic and Reputation Renaissance”.
