Wale Musa Assumes Office as PS Transportation Ministry, Engr. Abdulhafiz Toriola to Resume in Housing Ministry

The newly redeployed Permanent Secretary, PS, to the Ministry of Transportation, Mr. Maroof Olawale Musa, has assumed office.

At a brief handing-over ceremony, the former Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Engr. Abdulhafiz Toriola, who has also been redeployed to the Ministry of Housing, urged the entire staff of the ministry to extend unflinching cooperation to the new PS, Mr. Olawale M. Musa.

Engr. Toriola narrated that total cooperation and diligence at assigned tasks were the means by which service delivery to the public would be enhanced and the government would in turn be held in high esteem by the teeming population in Lagos state.

The new substantive PS, Mr. Musa, emphasized the good that could be achieved if all the categories of staff in the transportation ministry worked as one united, indivisible, and inviolable family.

He said such cooperation would inspire seamless operations and make possible consolidation of the achievements of Traffic Management and Transportation, being the number one of the pillars the state government device as a guiding policy to further drive the economy of Lagos State.

Musa brings with him, a wealth of experience and expertise to the position, having demonstrated outstanding leadership and administrative skills in his previous roles as General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA), Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff and Ministry of Establishment and Training.

The Permanent Secretary, having showcased his commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the Public Service, has also declared his readiness to take the transport sector of the State to a higher level.
