Abuja Airport
Air travelers, airport workers, and others with legitimate business at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, NAIA, Abuja, have been advised to arrange for a cab or any reliable e-hailing operator to pick them up at the airport beginning today, Friday 4th August 2023 until further notice.
In a media statement by the airport managers, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, announced that the car hire service at Abuja airport had been immediately suspended until further notice.
The statement said the failure of the existing car hire association to amicably resolve their differences had started impacting the required orderliness in public transportation expected in the airport environment and if not checked, could undermine existing peace, and affect safety and security hence, the suspension.

Consequent upon the suspension, the statement said, “FAAN Management advises the general public and all airport users, particularly our esteemed passengers to use secured alternative means of transportation or E-hailing services in and out of the airport”
However, the statement made an en-treatment that, “the Management of FAAN regrets any inconvenience this necessary suspension may cause our esteemed passengers, airport users, and the general public”.
FAAN management assured the general public, especially the airport users that, the suspension will last as soon as the feud among the car hire operators is amicably resolved.
