Public presentation of the book is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, 25th April 2023
The boutique but panache hospitality facility in the Government Reservation Area, GRA, Ikeja, of Lagos State, Nigeria, Golfview Hotels & Suites, will on Tuesday 25th April 2023, host the crème de la crème of decision-makers in the aviation business, prospectors in its downstream sector, aviation enthusiasts, and high net worth members of the general public.
These distinguished personalities will converge at the hotel for an informal stock-taking and public presentation of a documentary account of the travel agencies’ antecedents, performance, and contributions to air travel, tourism, hospitality nay the national economy.
The event is the public presentation of a documentary authored by the former President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, NANTA, Elder Ebenezer Olusoji Amusan, titled, TRAVEL AGENCY OPERATIONS IN NIGERIA: HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES.
Most of the expected guests are those who for decades have been prospecting in each of the entire facets of the aviation value chain. They are those who have severally and collectively succeeded in their beats and are wont to talk more of practical result-oriented applications and successful outcomes than mere academic postulations that have not been successfully put to test.
Hence the new entrants in business and leisure travel management, managers and sales personnel in the airlines, tourism, and hospitality promoters, and students will undoubtedly benefit from the rich experiences that will be shared at the August occasion.
A quick glance at the “officiating ministers” scheduled to conduct affairs at the event provides a shred of figurative evidence that only the “deep can call to the deep.”
The royal father of the day is Oba Barrister Olufemi Ogunleye, T’owulade of Akinale of the Owu Kingdom. The royal majesty is also a public relations consultant, editor, author, publisher, and the former Public Affairs Manager, at Nigeria Airways.
The event Chairman is Dr. Gbenga Gabriel Olowolajuola, Chairman, of Interguide Group of Companies, and also the Chairman, of the Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative, ASRTI.
While the book reviewer is also a distinguished personality in the air transport business in Africa, Dr. Samson Fatokun, Area Manager, West & Central Africa, International Air Travel Association, IATA. Mr. Frank Meke, another veteran journalist and a promoter of tourism under the auspices of Travel Hit Promotion, will be the compere at the August event.
