NIGERIAN AIRPORTS TO OBSERVE SECURITY WEEK

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will on Monday 25th October, Flag-off week-long activities to commemorate the year 2021 Security Week.
A statement from FAAN and signed by its Corporate Communications Manager, Henrietta Yakubu Mrs, said this year’s event is themed, “Promoting Security Culture in Nigerian Airports”.
The chief host of the event, FAAN, said the event will hold in accordance with the stipulations of Airports Council International (ACI-Africa Region) from 25th to Thursday, 28th October 2021.
The opening ceremony will hold on the 25th of October, at Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau Conference Centre, Nigerian Correctional Service Headquarters, Abuja.

The statement said the occasion promises to bring together stakeholders in the aviation industry. While the event will hold concurrently at all the airports managed by FAAN
According to the media statement, the program will focus on roles of stakeholders in promoting security culture in airport
Amongst top dignitaries from the public and private sectors expected are, the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, Director-General, NCAA, Managing Director, NAMA, Chief Executives of airlines, and Aviation Security experts among others.
The event will bring to the fore salient issues bothering on aviation security and seek ways and means the security culture could be rekindled at all the nation’s airports
