RUSSIA GOVERNMENT INCENTIVISES SELF ISOLATION, TO CHECK SPREAD OF COVID-19

Russia government has appealed to her senior citizens aged 65 and above to stay home and refrain from any none essential activities within the next twenty-one days, while a cash gift of 4,000-ruble, about the US $50, has been earmarked as an incentive to inspire compliance.
Moscow Mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, made the announcement at a closed-door meeting with President Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, after the President’s visit to the call centre at the emergency response centre for the control and monitoring of the coronavirus disease, in Moscow.
The Mayor said since the elderly are the most vulnerable apart from those with existing respiratory challenges, it will be better for the elderly to relocate to their country home as the city of Moscow presently have over 500 of those infected residents in Moscow
According to the Mayor, the scheme will run from 26th March, until 14th April 2020, and those that complied will be paid a 4,000-ruble ($50) sweetener as motivation. He said if the senior citizens cannot be forced to their country home they can be bribed to migrate back to where they leave a peaceful and less boisterous life.
The President noted that Moscow had been affected the most, and added that the city had “over 500 coronavirus cases,” while Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, added that “some of the suspected cases had not been confirmed yet.”
The government commission additional nine new laboratories which had tested 3000 persons suspected to be infected with Covid-19.
According to the Mayor of Moscow, Sobyanin, Government will conduct another 13,000 tests at the new facility by the end of the week” while construction is ongoing to increase hospital capacities and testing.
