The government of Saudi Arabia has announced that beginning from Sunday, 6th March 2022, Muslim Umah may apply for Ramadan’s Umrah Permit via “Eatmarna” and “Tawakkalna” applications.
A statement by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, urged all concerned with the passages of pilgrims for the month of Ramadan, 2nd April to 2nd May, to start the travel arrangement early so as to enable pilgrims to enjoy hassles free pilgrimage.
The ministry added that wearing of face mask while performing Umrah especially at the Grand Mosque is still compulsory as that is the only means by which a greater number of pilgrims would be accommodated.
The statement however reminded those who may wish to change their permit date should first delete the initial one issued and then re-apply for another one with the new dates.
It also announced that the periods of booking for Umrah have been raised from 8 to 12 daily. The raised periods the statement said would allow applicants access accurate information on the likely population of pilgrims as it would appear in the coloured icons while choosing the desired period.
Another information by the ministry hinted that the Saudi Arabia government had also commenced painstaking arrangements for the Hajj in 2022.
