Attendees At Dana Air Safety Management System, SMS, Training Observed by NCAA’s Representative
As part of the conditions precedent to procure the release of suspended permits- AOC, ATL,- and return to normal schedule service, Dana Air has concluded a statutory internal Safety Management Systems (SMS) Training for top management staff and the newly engaged Directors.
A media statement by Dana Air stated that representatives of the regulatory authority, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, were observers at the in-plant training.
Present throughout the duration of training was the Director of Safety and Quality, Director of Maintenance and Engineering, Director of flight Operations, Chief Pilot and Safety Manager.
The media statement affirmed that much progress had been made in the ongoing audit by the Nigerian CAA as it has availed the airline opportunity to raise the bar on its safety management processes and procedures.
The statement elucidated that, “the SMS training is a periodic training for staff to enhance their knowledge on safety both in the office and across all aspects of our operations.”
